Chris Weatherspoon · Football Finance Writer Silver lining on a dark night for Arsenal fans Arsenal fans doubtless never wish to speak of this evening again, but there is a small sliver of compensation from their North London rivals ending a 17-year trophy drought. Literally. For all Manchester United's travails in recent years, Arsenal still trail them in UEFA's coefficient rankings. Those rankings dictate, at least in part, how a tranche of Champions League prize money is disbursed to competing clubs. Had United won, they'd have earned more from this tranche than Arsenal. Since they didn't, and Arsenal's coefficient is higher than Spurs', the red half of North London gets a positive from tonight too. But maybe not one to shout too loudly about. Are we good enough to be here? Because this club, this season, it's not acceptable. We know that and it's down to us. “So like I said, I think it's really tough to take. It's hard to say anything else really apart from what I've just said. I think we have to look at ourselves.”
