Ed Gale dies: Chucky actor's years-old ‘creepy’ actions, pedophilia claims surface
Ed Gale, the actor renowned for physically portraying the killer doll Chucky in the original Child’s Play films, passed away on May 27, 2025, at the age of 61 in Los Angeles. His niece, Kayse Gale, confirmed his death, noting that he died in hospice care. Gale's career began with his role as Howard in Howard the Duck (1986), and he gained fame for his performances as Chucky in Child’s Play (1988), Child’s Play 2 (1990), and Bride of Chucky (1998). Over his career, he amassed over 130 credits in film, television, and commercials. However, his later years were marred by controversy. In April 2023, Gale was confronted by the vigilante group "Creep Catchers Unit" (CC Unit) in a sting operation. Posing as a 14-year-old boy, the group engaged in explicit online conversations with Gale, who admitted on camera to attempting to solicit explicit images and arrange a meeting for sexual purposes. He also confessed to having similar conversations with at least 10 individuals he believed to be minors. Following the confrontation, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) seized electronic devices from Gale's residence. While the LAPD initiated an investigation, no charges were filed before his death. Gale's death has prompted discussions about his legacy, balancing his contributions to cult cinema with the serious

French first lady's gesture toward Macron draws online buzz during Vietnam trip
A video showing French first lady Brigitte Macron “pushing” President Emmanuel Macron in the face, aboard their plane after they arrived in Vietnam, went viral on Monday, sparking a wave of online speculation. The video, recorded by several Western international press agencies, shows the president stepping out of the aircraft on Sunday evening when Brigitte Macron, wearing red, suddenly places both hands on his face, Franceinfo reported. The president quickly steps back, smiles, and waves to the cameras. Initially, the Elysee dismissed the video as a fake when contacted by Franceinfo, but later confirmed its authenticity, describing the moment as a "banal couple’s teasing." A source close to the president told journalists: "It was a moment where the president and his wife were decompressing one last time before the start of the trip, playfully teasing each other," adding: "It didn’t take more to give conspiracy theorists something to feed on," according to Franceinfo. No other news agencies have confirmed the video’s authenticity except Franceinfo, which reported on the Elysee’s unofficial response. Macron also appears momentarily surprised but swiftly turns to wave to those waiting outside, Le Parisien reported. 20 Minutes News highlighted that the images spread rapidly on social media, especially on accounts hostile to Emmanuel Macron. The scene sparked many comments, with some interpreting the gesture as a "small altercation" or even a "blow," while the Elysee insisted it was a “light” moment between the couple. The video of Macron and his wife coming out of the plane shows the French first lady apparently refusing to hold his arm while they scale down the stairs. Macron arrived in Hanoi on Sunday evening to begin a week-long tour of Southeast Asia aimed at deepening economic and diplomatic ties, including engagements in Indonesia and Singapore.
Alex Palou Wins Indianapolis 500 for First Oval Victory, Immortality
NTT IndyCar Series Alex Palou Track News Alex Palou Wins Indianapolis 500 for First Oval Victory, Immortality Paul Kelly Paul Kelly INDYCAR Staff Writer 1 day ago Share: facebook sharing button twitter sharing button email sharing button Alex Palou’s place among the legends is now secure. Three-time NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion Palou earned the first oval victory of his career, capturing the biggest race of them all, the 109th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. SEE: Race Results “Best milk I’ve ever tasted,” Palou said on the Victory Podium after a hearty swig from the traditional winner’s bottle of milk. “It tastes so good. What an amazing feeling.” Palou won under caution when “500” rookie Nolan Siegel crashed his No. 6 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet in Turn 2 on the final lap of the 200-lap race, which started 43 minutes late due to passing sprinkles. Two-time defending series champion Palou passed the No. 28 Allegra Honda of Andretti Global’s Marcus Ericsson on Lap 187 and never trailed thereafter. “I cannot believe it,” Palou said. “It’s amazing to win. There were some moments that I felt really good in the race, but at the end I didn’t know if I was going to able to pass Marcus or not, but I made it happen. First oval win. What a better place?” Palou earned his fifth win in six series races this season in the No. 10 DHL Chip Ganassi Racing Honda, padding his championship lead to a whopping 115 points over Pato O’Ward of Arrow McLaren. But more importantly for his legacy as one of the great all-time champions of the sport, he gained a spot on the Borg-Warner Trophy – the first Spaniard to earn that distinction – and immortality. “It’s going to make Alex Palou’s career, it’s going to make his life, and it certainly has made mine,” winning team owner Chip Ganassi said. Chip Ganassi Racing earned its sixth victory in “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” and first since Ericsson won in 2022. Ericsson finished second for the second time in the last three years, as he also was the narrow runner-up to Josef Newgarden in 2023. Newgarden’s drive to become the first to win three consecutive Indianapolis 500s ended with a mechanical problem in his No. 2 Shell V-Power NiTRO+ Team Penske Chevrolet, as he ended up 25th after completing 135 laps.

https://trucestaff.com/ad1v8rmhm?key=3c17f25c6a7dcb732026ea694c3eb6a0 MBAPPE DOUBLE SEALS WIN IN MODRIC'S EMOTIONAL FAREWELL Kylian Mbappe’s brace secured victory for Real Madrid over Real Sociedad in a match most memorable for being Luka Modric’s final home game in the famous white shirt. Modric left the field in tears in the 86th minute to a guard of honour from all players on the field, before being greeted by his long-time midfield brother Toni Kroos and then his family. The match was far from a classic but saw Mbappe join elite company, ending the season with 31 goals, joining Brazilians Ronaldo and Romario and Pruden in being the only players to surpass 30 la Liga goals in a debut season. Mbappe was twice denied by good saves from Unai Marrero, before the goalkeeper saved his penalty but the French star squeezed home the rebound and then hit a precise second inside the near post after a breakneck one-two with Vinicius Jr. The result of the match, which also saw Carlo Ancelotti’s final home game on the sidelines and Lucas Vazquez’s last Los Blancos appearance, left second-placed Real a point behind Barcelona, ahead of their final match, and Sociedad slipped to 11th. After the match, Ancelotti walked from the dugout to the centre of the pitch to speak to the fans to whom he delivered three UEFA Champions Leagues and two La Ligas, while "Gracias, Carlo" was emblazoned on the stadium's video screens.
Philadelphia Union vs. Inter Miami MLS highlights: Messi goal sparks comeback in draw
https://trucestaff.com/ad1v8rmhm?key=3c17f25c6a7dcb732026ea694c3eb6a0 Inter Miami and Lionel Messi were in deep trouble against the Philadelphia Union, but salvaged a point in a wild 3-3 draw Saturday night in MLS play. Philadelphia, who entered the night atop the MLS standings, held a two-goal lead thanks to two strikes from Golden Boot leader Tai Baribo and a third from U.S. men's national team prospect Quinn Sullivan. However, Messi took over in the game's final minutes, scoring a spectacular free-kick goal in the 87th minute before notching an assist on Telasco Segovia's stoppage-time equalizer. It was a fortunate escape for Miami, who saw the Union strike the crossbar just before and just after the Herons scored their late goals, but it will nevertheless serve as a boost after Messi's side lost 3-0 at home in their last match. https://trucestaff.com/ad1v8rmhm?key=3c17f25c6a7dcb732026ea694c3eb6a0 Here are highlights of all six goals, including Messi's, and blow-by-blow updates from the MLS match between the Philadelphia Union and Inter Miami:

Kylian Mbappe finished the La Liga season on 31 goals with a double against Real Sociedad as Real Madrid provided a winning, and emotional, farewell to the departing Carlo Ancelotti and Luka Modric.
The result of the match was academic, with Barcelona already confirmed as champions and Real runners-up. But Mbappe ensured Los Blancos signed off the campaign with success, as well as putting himself in the driving seat to win the European Golden Shoe. The France striker opened the scoring in the 38th minute, firing in after his penalty had initially been saved, and got his second with seven minutes left through a left-footed strike. https://trucestaff.com/ad1v8rmhm?key=3c17f25c6a7dcb732026ea694c3eb6a0 Mbappe's first season at Real Madrid got off to a slow start but he finished it in blistering fashion with 11 goals in his final six league games. He is almost certain to finish as La Liga's top scorer as he leads Barcelona's Robert Lewandowski by six goals with the newly crowned champions facing Athletic Club on Sunday. But while Mbappe represents Real Madrid's future, the day was about celebrating their past with the departures of boss Ancelotti and midfielder Modric.

Trump administration ends Harvard's ability to enrol international students
Getty Images An exterior view of a building at Harvard University with people walkingGetty Images The Trump administration has moved to end Harvard's ability to enrol international students, escalating a standoff with America's oldest university. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said the administration had revoked Harvard's "Student and Exchange Visitor Program certification as a result of their failure to adhere to the law." https://trucestaff.com/ad1v8rmhm?key=3c17f25c6a7dcb732026ea694c3eb6a0 "Let this serve as a warning to all universities and academic institutions across the country," she wrote on X on Thursday. Harvard called the move "unlawful" in a statement. "We are fully committed to maintaining Harvard's ability to host our international students and scholars, who hail from more than 140 countries and enrich the University – and this nation – immeasurably," the university responded. "We are working quickly to provide guidance and support to members of our community. This retaliatory action threatens serious harm to the Harvard community and our country, and undermines Harvard's academic and research mission." The Trump administration's decisions could affect thousands of international students who study at the university. Over 6,700 international students were enrolled at the institution last academic year, university data shows, making up 27% of its student body. News quickly spread through the international community on campus Thursday, sparking fear and frustration among the thousands of students whose futures were suddenly in limbo. "We're seeing a lot of confusion on this," Sarah Davis, an Australian student receiving a graduate degree, told BBC Newshour. "The news has come only five days before a lot of us are due to graduate the university, and this obviously is going to have a lot of very uncertain implications for whether we're able to stay on in the United States afterwards and keep working here," said Ms Davis, who is president of the Australia and New Zealand Caucus at the Harvard Kennedy School. "We're all just sitting back and waiting to see whether or not we get communications about what the next steps are from the university." Leo Gerdén, a 22-year-old undergraduate from Sweden, remembers the day he received his admission letter to Harvard as the best day of his life. With less than a week until graduation, he didn't imagine his time at the prestigious campus ending like this. "International students are being used as poker chips in a battle between the White House and Harvard," Mr Gerdén told the BBC. "It's incredibly dehumanising." The Trump administration has launched investigations into dozens of universities across the countries and wrung concessions from other major US institutions like Columbia University in New York. But in April, Harvard University became the most prominent institution to push back, announcing it would sue the Trump administration after it sent the school a list of lengthy demands. The White House later said the list was sent by mistake. It has demanded Harvard change its hiring, admissions and teaching practices to help fight antisemitism on campus. It has threatened to revoke the university's tax-exempt status and freeze billions of dollars in government grants. Harvard earlier this year said it had taken many steps to address antisemitism, and that the government's demands were an effort to regulate the university's "intellectual conditions". But the standoff continued to escalate. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) then warned Harvard that it could lose its ability to host international students if it did not comply with a sweeping records request from the administration pertaining to international students. In Thursday's letter, Noem followed through. She announced that DHS had revoked Harvard's access to the SEVP programme, which meant that it would not be able to enroll individuals with F- or J- non-immigrant status for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year. Individuals on these visas would have to transfer to other universities to maintain legal status, she wrote. The letter stated Harvard had 72 hours to comply with a list

Besides aviation, Shapiro was a lifelong supporter of independent music and hard rock, punk and indie acts that didn’t fit within music’s mainstream. Music talent agent among dead after jet crashes into San Diego neighborhood
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration revoked Harvard University’s ability to enroll international students in its escalating battle with the Ivy League school, saying thousands of current students must transfer to other schools or leave the country. The Department of Homeland Security announced the action Thursday, saying Harvard has created an unsafe campus environment by allowing “anti-American, pro-terrorist agitators” to assault Jewish students on campus. It also accused Harvard of coordinating with the Chinese Communist Party, saying it hosted and trained members of a Chinese paramilitary group as recently as 2024. “This means Harvard can no longer enroll foreign students and existing foreign students must transfer or lose their legal status,” the agency said in a statement. Harvard enrolls almost 6,800 foreign students at its campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, accounting for more than a quarter of its student body. Most are graduate students, coming from more than 100 countries. Collin Binkley has covered Harvard for nearly a decade – most of the time living half a mile from campus. Harvard called the action unlawful and said it’s working to provide guidance to students. “This retaliatory action threatens serious harm to the Harvard community and our country, and undermines Harvard’s academic and research mission,” the university said in a statement. The federal government has cut $2.6 billion in federal grants to Harvard, forcing it to self-fund much of its sprawling research operation. President Donald Trump has said he wants to strip the university of its tax-exempt status. The administration has demanded records of campus protests The threat to Harvard’s international enrollment stems from an April 16 request from Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who demanded that it provide information about foreign students that might implicate them in violence or protests that could lead to their deportation. In a letter to Harvard on Thursday, Noem said the school’s sanction is “the unfortunate result of Harvard’s failure to comply with simple reporting requirements.” It bars Harvard from hosting international students for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. Noem said Harvard can regain its ability to host foreign students if it produces a trove of records on foreign students within 72 hours. The action revoked Harvard’s certification in the Student and Exchange Visitor Program, which gives the school the ability to sponsor international students to get their visas and attend school in the United States. Harvard President Alan Garber earlier this month said the university has made changes to its governance over the past year and a half, including a broad strategy to combat antisemitism, but warned it would not budge on its “its core, legally-protected principles” over fears of retaliation. He said he wasn’t aware of evidence to support the administration’s allegation that its international students were “more prone to disruption, violence, or other misconduct than any other students.” Students in Harvard College Democrats said the Trump administration is playing with students’ lives to push a radical agenda and to quiet dissent. “Trump’s attack on international students is text book authoritarianism — Harvard must continue to hold the line,” the group said in a statement. The administration drew condemnation from free speech groups, including the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, which said Noem is demanding a “surveillance state.” “This sweeping fishing expedition reaches protected expression and must be flatly rejected,” the group said in a statement. The revocation opens a new front in a closely watched battle Many of Harvard’s punishments have come through a federal antisemitism task force that says the university failed to protect Jewish students from harassment and violence amid a nationwide wave of pro-Palestinian protests. Homeland Security officials echoed those concerns in their Thursday announcement. It offered examples, including a recent internal report at Harvard, finding that many Jewish students reported facing discrimination or bias on campus. It also tapped into concerns that congressional Republicans have raised about ties between U.S. universities and China. Homeland Security officials said Harvard provided training to the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps as recently as 2024. As evidence, it provided a link to a Fox News article, which in turn cited a letter from House Republicans. Asked for comment on the alleged coordination with the Chinese Communist Party, a Harvard spokesperson said the university will be responding to the House Republicans’ letter. Ted Mitchell, president of the American Council on Education, called the latest action an “illegal, small-minded” overreach. “I worry that this is sending a very chilling effect to international students looking to come to America for education,” he said. The Trump administration has leveraged the system for tracking international students’ legal status as part of its broader attempts to crack down on higher education. What was once a largely administrative database has become a tool of enforcement, as immigration officials revoked students’ legal status directly in the system. Those efforts were challenged in court, leading to restorations of status and a nationwide injunction blocking the administration from pursuing further terminations. ___ Associated Press writers Annie Ma in Washington and Cheyanne Mumphrey in Phoenix contributed to this report. ___ The Associated Press’ education coverage receives financial support from multiple private foundations. Gerry Connolly Dies At Age 75. Here’s How the Democratic Congressman Fought For the Federal Government
His family said in a statement posted on his X account that Connolly died Wednesday morning in his home while surrounded by his loved ones. The statement didn’t share a cause of death. Connolly had announced in November 2024 that he was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus, and would be undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Last month, he said his cancer had returned, and that this would be his last term in Congress. Advertisement “We were fortunate to share Gerry with Northern Virginia for nearly 40 years because that was his joy, his purpose, and his passion,” his family said in the statement on Wednesday. “His absence will leave a hole in our hearts, but we are proud that his life’s work will endure for future generations. We thank you for your love of Gerry, and know he loved you all so much.” Connolly, a champion for federal workers and harsh critic of the Trump Administration, was elected to Congress in 2008. Here are some key actions that he took while in office. He advocated for federal employees Connolly, whose district is home to many federal employees, was known for his outspoken advocacy for the federal workforce. He was a cosponsor of the 2010 Telework Enhancement Act, which mandates that federal agencies permit some of their employees to telework at least one day each week. He also pushed for legislation to provide federal employees with a raise, reintroducing the Federal Adjustment of Income Rates (FAIR) Act each year. Connolly holds a forum each year for federal employees to help keep them informed about their benefits during the federal government’s Open Season, according to his website. The Virginia congressman fiercely defended government workers in the wake of President Donald Trump’s election as the Administration sought to cut federal funding and employees. “The federal workforce is our country’s single greatest asset,” Connolly said in a statement when introducing the FAIR Act for a final time in January. “Even after serving dutifully through a global pandemic and enduring the Trump Administration’s cruel personal attacks, unsafe work environments, pay freezes, government shutdowns, sequestration cuts, furloughs, and mindless across-the-board hiring freezes, they come to work every day in service to the American people.”

Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby led the way with 23 points apiece as the Knicks completed a 4-2 series victory to set up a showdown against fourth-seeded Indiana Pacers for a place in the NBA finals. The Knicks will open the seven-game series at home at 01:00 BST on Thursday. Six Knicks players finished in double figures with the 38-point success the largest winning play-off margin in franchise history. https://trucestaff.com/ad1v8rmhm?key=3c17f25c6a7dcb732026ea694c3eb6a0 Mikal Bridges had four three-pointers in his 22 points while Karl-Anthony Towns added 21 and Josh Hart finished with a triple-double of 10 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. The Celtics, who lost star forward Jayson Tatum to a ruptured right Achilles tendon in game four, which is likely to keep him out for around nine months, had given themselves hope after winning game five. But in front of a Madison Square Garden home crowd, which included celebrities Timothee Chalamet, Lenny Kravitz, Ben Stiller and Spike Lee, the Knicks were in a ruthless mood. They led 26-20 after the first quarter but did most of the damage in the second, outscoring their opponents 38-17 to take a 64-37 lead into the break to all but end the Boston challenge. "In game five Boston got the best of us and we responded tonight. We just found a way to keep making plays on the defensive side, the offence was just rolling." Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau felt his team had delivered a complete performance against the reigning champions. "I thought from start to finish we were terrific," he said. "The Celtics are a terrific team on both sides of the ball. They play their style no matter what, and so they're not going to hand you anything. You have to earn it. And I felt we did that. "But we can't get carried away. Obviously it's a great win and we advance. But you also understand that you have to get ready for the next series. We know that Indiana is a terrific team and we're going to have to be ready." Despite the defeat, Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla praised his team. "At the end of the day, we set a goal out and we didn't achieve that goal," he said. "But that shouldn't take away from the mindset and effort that the players put in - the approach, the process, you can't ask for anymore from the guys. I thought they gave everything they had throughout the season."

Nancy Mace accused of having "physically accosted" her at the U.S. Capitol in December. According to a filing Tuesday with D.C. Superior Court, prosecutors dropped the lone charge against James McIntyre, a foster care advocate. Mace, R-S.C., had accused McIntyre of "aggressively" shaking her arm up and down at a Dec. 10 event celebrating 25 years of the Foster Care Independence Act. He had pleaded not guilty, court filings showed. The U.S. Attorney's Office for D.C., which was prosecuting the case, did not respond to a request for comment on why it decided to drop the charge of assaulting a government official. The youth- and family-focused news site The Imprint first reported on dismissal of the case. Follow live politics coverage here A spokesperson for Mace’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday night, but Mace repeated her assault claims in a statement Thursday morning. “When a man can physically assault a woman in the halls of Congress, with impunity, it sends an appalling message to every woman in America. If it can happen here, it can happen anywhere,” Mace said. “I filed charges, and they were inexplicably ignored. But I will not be. I will not back down. I will not be intimidated. And I sure as hell won’t stay silent.” An attorney for McIntyre declined to comment.
US Senate US Senate passes ‘no tax on tips’ bill in unanimous vote
The US Senate passed the No Tax on Tips Act on Tuesday after the Nevada senator Jacky Rosen brought the bill up for a unanimous consent request. “This bipartisan bill is a good idea. It has support from Democrats and Republicans, so we should pass it, well, as soon as possible, without any poison pills,” said Rosen, a Democrat, on the Senate floor. The bill was introduced in the Senate in January 2025 by Senator Ted Cruz and a bipartisan group of co-sponsors which included Rosen and the Nevada senator Catherine Cortez Masto. No objections were made by Rosen’s request, resulting in the passage of the bill, which now goes to the House. The bipartisan bill will create a tax deduction of up to $25,000 for cash tips reported to employers by workers for withholding purposes on payroll taxes, with a cap on the salary for eligible workers at $160,000 annually. The bill calls for the US Department of Treasury to issue a list of occupations that traditionally receive tips within 90 days of the bill’s enactment. Ending taxes on tips gained traction during the 2024 presidential election, with Donald Trump touting the plan on the campaign trail in Nevada, and Kamala Harris later endorsing the idea. Economists and labor advocates have criticized the legislation, with concerns it will incentivize the expansion of tipped work, undermine pay increases and would affect only a small segment of about 5% of low-paid workers who receive tips. According to Brookings Institute researchers, 37% of all tipped workers already pay no federal income tax because their earnings are so little, and eliminating sub-minimum wages for tipped workers would be more impactful. “Without having these earnings floors in place, the minimum wage floor and calling for an increase, workers are vulnerable to exploitation and inequality in the labor market which is harmful overall for the economy,” Lena Simet, a senior researcher Human Rights Watch, told the Guardian in August 2024 on the push to end taxes on tips. “It doesn’t mean that workers can no longer be tipped. It just means a tip comes on top of a wage floor that would guarantee them a
Kia MVP Ladder: In final analysis, it's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander over Nikola Jokić
https://trucestaff.com/ad1v8rmhm?key=3c17f25c6a7dcb732026ea694c3eb6a0 The envelope, please. https://trucestaff.com/ad1v8rmhm?key=3c17f25c6a7dcb732026ea694c3eb6a0 We’ve witnessed brilliance from virtually every player involved throughout the Kia Race to the MVP this season and epic efforts from the top two finishers in particular. And that’s precisely what everyone wants to see from contenders for the NBA’s most cherished regular-season award. This trophy brings out the best among the best, as it should. The MVP is a statement-maker and also states your case for the Hall of Fame. The winner is someone who maintains a high level of performance, endures the rigors of the 82-game NBA season, shows up on a nightly basis, competes favorably against the better players and helps his team win. Not everyone is built that way. The Kia MVP Ladder only has room at the top for one player, and while the faces often changed from October through April, the truth has a way of revealing itself by the finish. In these situations, even one as hotly contested as 2024-25, the winner is deserving. With that said … Congratulations to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Before we salute those on the ladder, here’s a shout-out to Paolo Banchero, Luka Dončić, Anthony Davis, Joel Embiid, Victor Wembanyama and Kawhi Leonard. If not for health issues — and therefore each being unable to meet the 65-games-played threshold for award eligibility — these players would have surely landed somewhere on this list. And now, a word or two on those who did: 1. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City Thunder Last ranking: No. 1 Season stats: 32.7 points, 5 rebounds, 6.4 assists His case: His team won. His team won big. His team was dominant all season, won more games than any other, clinched the top seed in the Western Conference before April and will do so by a double-digit margin. No reason to ignore the obvious. The biggest factor in Gilgeous-Alexander’s argument for MVP is wins. It is what separates him from the pack and gives him the slimmest of edges over a player recognized as the finest in the game — Jokić. One very vivid reason OKC won is because of Gilgeous-Alexander. And the unspoken definition of an MVP is how much he elevates his team in the pecking order. In every way imaginable, Gilgeous-Alexander hauled OKC to the regular season mountaintop. Here’s the evidence: Gilgeous-Alexander will finish as the league’s leading scorer, a player who gets buckets virtually everywhere on the floor and does so with envious efficiency. He’ll finish with over 50% in field goal percentage (51.9%), which is uncommon for a guard. He rarely forces shots, is masterful in getting to his sweet spots and led the NBA in 50-, 40-, 30- and 20-point games. As for defense, he’ll be a strong candidate for one of the All-Defensive teams. League-leading scorers rarely make such a two-way case for themselves, so this is very Michael Jordan-ish for Gilgeous-Alexander. He’s among the league’s steals leaders and is stealth-like in how he goes about his business defensively. No one will begrudge Gilgeous-Alexander for winning MVP. He was a strong candidate last season and simply followed up with an even better season. His impact is evident everywhere on the floor and way up in the standings.
